Therapy with Teens

When social media brings you down –
Drama therapy can help build you back up!

It seems the entire world is on social media.

Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter – the pressure to perform, look your best, and be cool feels too overwhelming.

Did they like what I said? Do they love what I’m wearing? How many people have friended me today? How many retweets did I get? Did my video go viral? Does this sound like a familiar voice in your head?

While social media is amazing at bringing you together, it’s also tearing you apart – on the inside! You can never live up to the unrealistic expectations of a profile, but even when you know this consciously, you can’t help but feel down and out when you get ignored – or even bullied – online.

A tough but important truth.

One of your most important characteristics as a human being is your authenticity. Simply being yourself.

Knowing who you are and what you will put up with is how people learn how to treat you. They learn from you.

So, if you’re sending messages telling them it’s okay to put you down, guess what? They will. But if you send the message that you’re going to be true to yourself no matter what they think, guess what? You’ll earn their respect.

And in the end, life is not about the number of followers you have. It’s about the quality of your relationships.

Here’s where I come in.

I want to help you find your true inner voice – and your true inner power.

I want to help you fall so in love with yourself – that you don’t care who else presses the heart emoji.

And, if it’s your mission to promote yourself so that you genuinely are an influencer, then I’ll help you refine your voice, so you actually get heard.

Not because you say or do what you think everyone else will like, but because you say and do what you want – and that’s what will resonate the most with your true audience.

But therapy isn’t just about pictures and outfits – it’s about being successful!

My goal is not to help you get a million retweets – my goal is to help you be the best you possible.

I want you to have the confidence and self-assurance to thrive in school, excel at your favorite activity or sport, and find your inspiration compass.

Where are you headed in life, and how are you going to get there? What is it that really excites you, and how can I help you find the direction you need?

That is what I’m here for.

Drama – as therapy – is amazing! And it works!

My approach is simply to help you become more expressive in all areas of life to free yourself from whatever is causing your anxiety.

Together, we’ll work on a deeper level than talk therapy and we’ll get to the cognitive and behavioral things you can’t stop telling yourself OR doing – no matter how hard you try.

Give me a chance to help you – let’s see where this goes. I’m excited to see what you’re capable of when you put your mind to it and believe in yourself!
