Group Therapy:  In-Person and Online

Socially Distance – Together

Helping People Feel Connected to Themselves and Others

No Way is this Normal!

Alone, disconnected, depressed and – quite honestly – bored.

No in-person activities, clubs, sports, or parties … and did you ever think you’d crave school or the office?

Nothing’s like it used to be.

Young people today are longing for interaction and others to relate to during these challenging times.

A Longing to Belong

Being part of a group can build confidence and self-esteem.

And just because it’s drama therapy, doesn’t mean it’s only for kids or those dealing with some serious drama!

Sometimes, all any of us needs is a positive outlet to relieve stress – and 2020 brought enough of that for a lifetime! The good news is 2021 is here, and we’re ready to start anew!

Whether you (or your child) have too much time to wallow in self-defeating thoughts or behaviors – or you’re going through more complicated challenges like divorce, illness, or grief – a drama therapy group with peers around the same age can significantly increase happiness and optimism about the future.

The Need for Connection

Everyone needs a moment to connect with ourselves and get centered.

Even one hour a week of dedicated me-time can help us see the light at the end of the tunnel.

By engaging in drama therapy modalities like role play, playback theater, transformational storytelling, improvisation, and more, self-discovery can lead to new ideas, clarity of vision, and an understanding of who we are and what we need to succeed.

The Need for Stimulation

Now, more than ever, self-esteem and confidence are a must!

And while drama therapy can relieve emotional pain, it has many cognitive benefits, as well.

Engaging in drama therapy enhances mental health by improving concentration, executive function, and imaginative thinking. It can also aid behavioral change through cognitive reframing, decision-making, and no-risk trial and error – in other words, there is absolutely no way to fail in drama therapy!

The Best Part of All – It’s FUN!!!

People of all ages love taking part in drama therapy so much that they forget that it’s actually helping them!

What better way to grow emotionally than by doing something so easy – and feels like playtime!

Before you know it, you’re developing new ways of coping with life. What used to feel stressful now feels… effortless.
